Tantra Theater uses personal narratives, animation, improvisation and music to explore about open relationships, swinging, free love, polyamory and other forms of responsible non-monogamy. We are not just a troupe of actors, we are friends and lovers who are willing to be transparent about our love lives. Most of us our practicing polyamory. We like to think of ourselves as a pod. Like dolphins we swim together, eat together, play together and sometimes even make love. The show opens with a demonstration of how we all met and fit into eachother’s lives. We like to call ourselves a Pod. Like dolphins, we swim together, eat together, hunt together, play together and sometimes even make love together. 

Adam uses stand up comedy to make us laugh as he teaches how to make polyamory easy. Adam Paulman is a leader in the San Diego Tantra Community he practices non-violent communication, Zegg style forum, Tantsu and he is a Tantra Counselor.

Shawn Roop tells the story of his first open relationship and a devastating experience at a swingers resort called Desire in Cancun. Shawn Roop is a founding member of Tantra theater and has been sharing the keys that open the door to a path well lived since 2000. He is a master healer, teacher and tantric guide.

First time performer, Roxanne uses puppets to show us how her boyfriend first introduced her to polyamory which is a story that involves a journey into her orgasmic inner fantasy world. Roxanne DePalma is a yoga teacher, body worker and pole dancer. She recently appeared in several episodes of Showtime’s new reality series Polyamory: Married and Dating.

The Viraja Show is a deep personal presentation of some of the many faces of the Goddess. Viraja embodies the voice of her inner critic as well as her inner child to help heal some of the inner conflict of polyamory. Viraja Prema is an embodiment of unconditional love, singer, musician, mother and healer who is natural joy to behold onstage!

The Poly Dating Game is an improvisational game played by the entire cast and originally conceived by Viraja Prema.

Kamala Devi welcomes us on an exotic vacation to Poly Paradise where she teaches us how important and kinky safe sex can be. This piece is supported by dancers Roxanne and Jen. Jen Gold is a salsa dancer, lover of life and huge tantra theater supporter. She stars on Showtime’s reality series, Polyamory: Married and Dating.


Michael takes us back 15 years to re-experience how he couldn’t get it up at his first swingers club and how he helped his girlfriend overcome her sexual guilt and shame. Michael McClure AKA “Eco Elf” is co-founder of Tantra Theater. He is an environmentalist, comedian, musician and shaman. He stars in Showtime’s new reality series: Polyamory: Married and Dating. In addition to making us laugh onstage, he is the executive producer, set and lighting designer.

Cheri Reeder is a natural born muse, after many years of inspiring and supporting tantra theater, she decided to pop her performance cherry with an original song. She is a Native American Indian/Italian Dragon. She is an author, songwriter and new performer.

Tahl does drag for a dramatic interpretation of what it’s like to be a polyamorous woman and get grilled at the nail salon about what it’s like to have a boyfriend and a husband. Tahl Gruer is a student of Chinese medicine, a tai Chi practitioner, and is also starring in Showtime’s docu-series, Polyamory: Married and Dating.

Meet My Polyamorous Family, A sketch comedy piece originally conceived by Shawn Roop. Followed by the grand finally of “We Do” an original song and music written by Michael McClure.
