Kudos to legal expert, Poly activist and dear friend, Diana Adams for standing up to Dr. Drew and representing Polyamory on daytime TV Show “The View” which will also be airing clips of Polyamory: Married & Dating Fri on Nov. 1st, 2013.
Even if Dr. Drew is negative towards polyamory as a sustainable life stlye, thanks to outspoken role models like Diana Adams, we are no longer a silent minority! The mainstream is starting to hear that monogamy is not the only option. It’s been over a year since the San Diego Family of Polyamory: Married & Dating did an appeared on the Dr. Drew show and can vividly remember how hard it was to get a word in.

The ignorant attitudes of daytime TV hosts are a good indication of how much sex education and human rights activism is needed in the media. The polyamory movement is much like the gay and lesbian movement, in that, if we want to be accepted, we need to come out and educate people. Can you imagine a daytime TV show host saying: “Being gay or lesbians is all a good idea in theory, but in practice, I just don’t see how it could work.”
Let this be a call to action. If you are not brave enough to be representing on the front lines, then make your own online blogs and videos. Let’s show the world that heterosexist monogamy is not the only option. If you have ever considered being on a TV show, there are lots of opportunities to speak up.
